Safety and First Aid
by adminPreparedness is the most important thing when it comes to safety and first aid. You should remember firs that every child is going to get bumps and bruises but you should be prepared for any type of accident including a fire in your home.
In cases of a fire in your home you should have a plan of action that each child understands, you can have ladders for the rooms upstairs and teach your children how to use them, have smoke detectors in every room and let them know exactly where to meet outside the house in case of a fire. Fires are not to be taken lightly. If a child does not know what to do in a fire, they more than likely will hide under a bed or in a closet sealing their fate. Have a plan and practice. Be sure your children will be safe in case of a house fire.
First aid is another thing you should be ready for. You should have a first aid in your home and one in your car at all times. If your children visit other family members or to a baby sitters home be sure there is also a first aid kit in their home as well. Things you should include in the first aid kit are:
- Thermometers for the proper age of your child
